Trevor Noah & Climate Week? Sign me up!
What exactly is Climate Week NYC?
It's a week in late September filled with hundreds of events and talks all about tackling climate change. Usually the events are in person, but this year there is a great mix of virtual ones too!
Who organizes it?
The week is hosted annually by international non-profit the Climate Group in conjunction with the United Nations, and in partnership with the COP26 and the City of New York.
Where can I sign up for an event?
Head over to www.climateweeknyc.org! There is a full calendar of events and easy ways to register. This is the first year Grouphug will not be at an event this year, but we will be sure to be back in 2022 :)
Any noteworthy events happening?
YES. I'm particularly excited by Climate Night! The Climate Group asked 7 late night talk show hosts to produce segments specifically addressing climate change and the environment tonight, September 22.
- Seth Meyers
- Samantha Bee
- Stephen Colbert
- Jimmy Fallon
- James Corden
- Jimmy Kimmel
- and... my favorite, Trevor Noah!
The amount of events and things to participate in can be overwhelming! I know it is for me. Pick one or two, but don't feel pressured to do it all. It's all about balance.
